​Leandro is a Research Scientist with a background in physical oceanography, cryosphere, and climate research. He is affiliated with the Marine Robotics Centre (MRC) at the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ). His research focuses on ocean circulations, sea ice variability, and the intricate dynamics of ocean-ice-atmosphere interactions. Leandro employs traditional observing methods alongside cutting-edge marine autonomous systems, including marine autonomous vehicles, to gather observational data.
